Week 1!

Hello Chesnee Choir Family,

I can’t think of any other word than “awesome” to describe our first week of choir! The girls have been so welcoming, friendly, and at times, hilarious. And even better, they all sing beautifully and are reading music so well! I’m so impressed, and am beyond excited to see all that we accomplish this semester!

To the right of the blog, you’ll see a calendar of events. You can actually subscribe to this calendar with this link, and it will appear in your smart phone! (Especially if you have an iPhone!) Once I get all of the dates solidified for this semester, I’ll have a hard copy for your students and on the website for you to print.

Some major ones to keep in mind:

Friday 8/31: Forms and fees are due!

Tuesday 10/2 at 7:30pm: This is our free performance given to us from Clemson Choirs. The cost is FREE. We will probably leave earlier to have dinner as a group, and then attend the show together. More logistical information on this to come!

Tuesday 10/16 at 6:30pm: COFFEE HOUSE! Come hear our students perform in the choir room while you enjoy some snacks and coffee! Admission is $5.

Tuesday 12/4 at 7:00pm: Chesnee Choirs Winter Concert!

There will be more events coming up this semester, but these are some major ones to keep on your radar! Please let me know if you have any questions!

Also, each month I will be sending a choir newsletter to you to keep you up-to-date with all that we are doing in our classroom. This will feature some messages from myself, and some pieces from our students! I may even try to get some videos in there! 😉

Thanks for believing in the value of music education,

Mrs. Brazell
