Ensembles

Sub plans: 3/13

Piano: please work on Ab scale, book pass offs or choice pieces. If you’d like extra credit, check out the video below for Chesnee Singers and write a couple paragraph review!

Chesnee Singers:

Please watch this performance on your chrome books and TYPE a one page review on your thoughts regarding the style of music (barbershop), concert format, songs you were familiar with, and comment on at least FOUR songs telling me how they performed it and whether you liked it or not and WHY. Please email me the document when you have completed it.

When you are done, please take out She Sings and write the lyrics on a piece of paper. In order to connect with this piece better, you need to make a personal connection with it. Go through each verse and either list ways you are reminded of yourself, or create a background story for the person being talked about. Who is “She” and why is she singing and why should the audience care?

Viva Voce:

Please warm up and sing through Alma Del Core once!!

Then…

Please watch the above performance and tell me what kinds of things we can “steal” for our honors concert, and any similarities or differences from Cantus. Please comment on at least 4 songs! Email this to me when you are done.
